Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an experienced RN to support vascular access procedures and deliver high-quality patient care. You will perform nursing assessments, manage sedation, and assist physicians during procedures. Strong documentation, safety, and compliance with policies are essential.

The role requires an active RN license, ACLS/BLS certifications, and experience with IV insertion and cardiac rhythm recognition. Proficiency with medical databases and Microsoft Office is desirable.

Qualifications

• RN license and active state licensure required.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• High school diploma; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience with IV procedures and cardiac rhythm interpretation.
• Knowledge of medical databases and charting systems.

Responsibilities

• Support CQI by following quality standards and policies.
• Obtain medical history, discuss procedure, and perform nursing assessment.
• Educate patients and families on post-procedure care.
• Monitor patient condition during procedures, including moderate sedation.
• Administer medications and IV sedation as directed by physicians.
• Assist physicians as scrub tech and maintain sterile technique.
• Transport patients and assist with workflow as needed.
• Perform point-of-care lab testing per orders.
• Perform IV insertions and other tasks per physician orders.
• Document patient information accurately from admission to discharge.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements.
