Job summary

OrthoCarolina's Matthews Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking an ASC Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dedicated team. This role supports orthopedic peri-operative nursing, coordinates telephone pre-admission assessments, and participates in day-to-day ASC operations with cross-training to turnover and other areas.

We require NC license, at least two years of ambulatory experience (PACU experience preferred), and active BLS/ACLS/PALS certifications.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current NC RN license.
• At least two years’ ambulatory experience; PACU experience required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate telephone pre-admission assessments for ASC patients.
• Cross-train across ASC operations and assist with turnover.
• Provide orthopedic peri-operative nursing care.
• Deliver high-quality patient care and service in a team-based environment.

Ambulatory experience is preferred. PACU experience is required.The ASC Registered Nurse (RN) will exemplify our organization’s values of Quality, Teamwork, Service and Community. Demonstrated technical expertise in orthopedic peri-operative nursing and clinical care. This individual will is also be responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.Essential Functions:The RN is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations.Responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.Skills and Abilities:Experience in delivering excellent service to physicians and patients and participating in high-performing teamsThe ability to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operationsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, College or University.Current License/registration by NC as a registered Nurse.At least two years’ experience in either ambulatory experience required.
