Job summary

OrthoCarolina seeks an ASC Registered Nurse (RN) for the Mallard Creek Ambulatory Surgery Center in Charlotte, NC. The 40-hour week runs 5:00am–7:30pm, with ambulatory experience preferred and PACU experience required.

The RN will exemplify our values of quality, teamwork and service in peri-operative orthopedic care. The role includes coordinating telephone pre-admission assessments, supporting ASC operations, and cross-training across areas.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
• Current License/Registration by NC as a registered Nurse.
• Ambulatory experience preferred; PACU experience required.
• BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate telephone pre-admission assessments for ASC patients.
• Assist with day-to-day ASC operations including turnover and other duties as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians and staff to ensure high-quality patient care.

Demonstrated technical expertise in orthopedic peri-operative nursing and clinical care. This individual will is also be responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.Essential Functions:The RN is able to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operations.Responsible for the coordination of the telephone pre-admission assessment process for patients in the ASC environment.Skills and Abilities:Experience in delivering excellent service to physicians and patients and participating in high-performing teamsThe ability to function as a team member in an ASC environment through cross-training to other primary areas including but not limited to assisting with turnover, and all other aspects of day-to-day ASC operationsQualifications:Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing, College or University.Current License/registration by NC as a registered Nurse.At least two years’ experience in either ambulatory experience required.
