Job summary

The Centers for Advanced Orthopaedics LLC (CAO) in Maryland is seeking a Director of Nursing to oversee clinical services at the Ambulatory Surgery Center, ensuring safe, high-quality care and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate with administrators, physicians, and teams to support efficient surgical services across departments.

The DON will manage pre-op, OR, and PACU, lead infection control, staff development, budgeting, and EHR documentation.

Qualifications

• Current and unrestricted RN license in Maryland or compact state.
• BSN required; Master’s degree preferred.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in a surgery center or outpatient setting.
• Knowledge of perioperative nursing, infection control, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Direct all clinical functions across pre-op, OR, and PACU.
• Lead infection control and quality assurance programs.
• Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and evaluations.
• Ensure licensure, competencies, and continuing education.
• Maintain documentation in the EHR/EMR and audits.
• Collaborate with surgeons and anesthesia for patient care.
