Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Ambulatory Clinic RN for the Spine Center Bell Hospital. The RN will deliver nursing care in ambulatory settings using the nursing process and independent judgment, addressing age-specific patient needs.

Required are a nursing license (RN) with current multistate or single-state status and BLS; 6 months of RN experience, and an associate degree in nursing. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. This is a full-time position in Kansas City, KS area.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care in ambulatory setting per nursing process.
• Performs preliminary patient assessments via observation and chart review.
• Evaluates unstable/complex patient situations and coordinates interventions.
• Applies independent nursing judgment and collaborates with healthcare team.
• Documents patient teaching and evaluates effectiveness of education.
• Responds to treatment-related inquiries and coordinates with physicians.
