Job summary

ChenMed is a physician-led network transforming healthcare for seniors. The Network Specialist provides direct patient care and assessments in ambulatory settings, with potential in SNFs and home care depending on assignment.

The role emphasizes rigorous medical training, a broad specialty knowledge, and collaboration with PCPs to improve patient outcomes; travel and ongoing education are expected.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and license to practice in-state required.
• Board certification preferred in the specialty.
• Current DEA and DPS registrations required.
• At least two years of direct healthcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Sees patients and reviews basic medical history.
• Conducts exams and tests for endocrine issues.
• Analyzes labs and symptoms to form diagnoses.
• Interprets tests and develops treatment plans.
• Explains recommendations to patients and caretakers.
• Provides clinical advice for disease management.
• Recommends lifestyle changes (diet/hygiene/exercise).
• Assigns proper treatment and monitors progress.
• Follows up with PCP and other providers.
• Tracks condition post-treatment.
• Advises surgery when necessary or outside therapy when needed.
• Collaborates with other specialists to treat conditions.
• Writes and renews prescriptions.
• Keeps up with advances; may train staff.
• May attend center meetings.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
