Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved nursing program with ADN
• RN licensure in Texas upon hire
• BLS certification through AHA/ARC upon hire
• Preferred BSN degree

Responsibilities

• Delivers nursing interventions per the plan of care.
• Schedules patient appointments and tests; reinforces physician instructions.
• Provides patient education and documents responses.
• Obtains necessary patient consents for research or treatment.
• Triages patient inquiries per protocol and documents actions.
• Supervises licensed vocational nurses and support staff.
• Proficient in electronic medical record documentation.
• Contributes to policy and procedural changes with nursing expertise.
• Prepares equipment and assists physicians during exams and procedures.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Maintains stock of supplies and safety of equipment.
• Attends and participates in clinical meetings.
• Duties may include direct patient interaction and handling records.
