Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH is seeking a registered nurse to provide pediatric care in a family-centered environment. You will assess patient needs, plan and deliver care, and collaborate with physicians and care teams to ensure safe, efficient patient flow.

This role requires an Ohio RN license, ACEN/CCNE-accredited education, and a BSN (within 5 years). Preferred three years of pediatric clinical experience; BSN preferred. EOE.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred; must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio is required.
  • Three years of pediatric clinical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferred.

Monday 1230pm-9pm, Tuesday 8pm-830pm, Wednesday 1230pm-430pm, Friday 8am-430pm

Job Description Summary:

Emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention as they assist patients and families to move rapidly, uneventfully, safely, and as effectively as possible through their episode of care. Delegates, oversees and provides quality, safe and developmentally appropriate patient care.

Essential Functions:

Provides nursing care using a Family Centered approach. Assesses individualized patient needs and plans, implements, educates and evaluates care using Evidence-Based Practices. Ensures clinic processes and workflows comply with regulatory and policy compliance. Works closely with providers and other team members to ensure a smooth clinic flow addressing patient/parent concerns and attaining positive patient and family outcomes. Documents according to organizational standards, policies, and procedures. Engages in the “workplace community” by staying aware of changes, participating in data collection or auditing, understanding Quality Improvement, and representing staff at relevant meetings and then reporting important information and updates back to staff.

Education Requirement:

Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited school, required. Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, preferred. Must successfully complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
