Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide clinical leadership and patient advocacy in ambulatory care settings. You will perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans in partnership with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.

Deliver specialty nursing care, coordinate referrals and transitions, and ensure documentation and communication meet high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• RN license active in the appropriate state required; reinstatement/refresher may be needed if inactive.
• 1 year relevant nursing experience preferred.
• ACLS, PALS, BAT and DOT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and patient advocacy in ambulatory care.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments considering physical, psychosocial, and learning needs.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based care plans with patients and families.
• Deliver nursing care including medication administration, IV starts, wound care, and patient education.
• Execute orders and nursing interventions safely according to standards.
• Coordinate referrals, care transitions, and support services to ensure continuity of care.
• Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
• Communicate clearly with patients, providers, and care teams.
