Job summary

MaineHealth is seeking an RN II for Ambulatory Care in a hybrid schedule (two days in office, two days remote). The role focuses on triage, coordination of care, and patient education across ambulatory settings. A BSN is preferred and one year of RN experience is required.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required; BSN preferred.
• License/Certifications: Current RN license in the applicable state; BLS certification required or within 30 days of start date.
• Experience: One year of RN experience required. Automatic advancement from RN I after onboarding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Triage incoming patient phone calls.
• Prioritize work by patient acuity.
• Multitask across multiple computer programs while speaking with patients on the phone.
• Communicate test results and follow-up care coordination with patients.
• Receive and process prescription refill requests.
• Assist with prior authorization process as needed.
• Obtain and submit lab orders; serve as a resource to clinical staff regarding medical information and patient assessment.
