Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Clinical Nurse II to join the Allergy & Pulmonary team at Duke Medicine Specialties South Durham. In this ambulatory RN role, you’ll partner with Pulmonary providers, cross-train in Allergy immunotherapy, and develop expertise in both specialties.

You will perform nursing assessments, education, care coordination, medication administration, and help manage asthma, COPD, and complex allergy conditions within a collaborative clinic, ensuring safe, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or diploma).
• Current NC RN licensure or compact license; BLS required.
• 12 months of clinical experience; expertise in ambulatory care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessments and ensure accurate medication reconciliation.
• Educate patients and coordinate follow-up care with providers.
• Administer medications and support immunotherapy preparation.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and respond to emergencies.
• Collaborate with Pulmonary and Allergy teams for care plans.
