Duke University in Durham, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse II- Allergy & Pulmonary to join our Pulmonary and Allergy team in an ambulatory RN role. You will work with Pulmonary providers and cross-train in Immunotherapy to develop expertise in both specialties.

The role combines hands-on patient care, education, care coordination, and clinical problem-solving, with opportunities to advance clinical practice and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must have graduation from an accredited Associate's Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program.
• RN licensure in North Carolina (or compact) with current status.
• BLS required.
• Twelve months of clinical experience; exceptional candidates with 6 months may be considered.

Responsabilités

• Specialty Pulmonary Nursing: support patients through nursing assessments, med reconciliation, education, coordination, administration, and procedures.
• Allergy & Immunotherapy: cross-train, assess patients prior to treatment, administer immunotherapy, monitor reactions, and respond to emergencies.
• Patient Education & Relationships: educate patients on medications, treatment plans, procedures, and home care strategies.
• Nursing Assessment & Care Coordination: perform RN assessments, collaborate on condition changes, coordinate follow-up care, connect with resources.
• Teamwork & Clinical Practice: collaborate with RNs, MAs, physicians, APPs; ensure safe patient flow and coverage.
• Quality & Professional Growth: maintain safety standards, infection prevention, and participate in quality improvement.
