HCA Healthcare is seeking a Pre op/PACU registered nurse manager at our ambulatory surgery center. You will provide clinical management and expertise over the Pre op and PACU staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care.

This role offers opportunities for growth within the organization, with leadership accountability for staffing, patient flow, and adherence to clinical standards and center policies.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma.
• Active RN license in the state of employment.
• BCLS certification required at employment; online certification not acceptable.
• ACLS required within 30 days of hire; PALS if facility requires within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all pre op and PACU areas of care.
• Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with your Administrator.
• Ensure day-to-day operations comply with clinical practice standards and center policies.
• Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes.
• Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided.
• Be accessible to staff by ensuring breaks and coverage for meals, late cases and shortages.
• Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided.
• Facilitate effective transitions between surgical procedures.
• Delegate, coach, mentor and resolve conflicts within your team.
• Lead with trust and respect through effective leadership.
