Job summary

Essentia Health in Detroit Lakes, MN seeks a Pharmacy Technician- Ambulatory Care to support the daily tasks of the pharmacy, including prescription entry, unit dose prep and non-sterile bulk compounding.

The role covers inventory control, care of supplies and equipment, accurate cash handling, and customer service by phone and in person, with assistance to the pharmacist on training, billing, audits and other duties. MN/WI registration and ongoing education are required.

Qualifications

• Educational requirements per Minnesota Board of Pharmacy categories for MN locations.
• State registration required; 18+ and high school graduate or equivalent.
• Dual MN/WI registration may be needed for certain sites.
• Ongoing continuing education and license renewal required.

Responsibilities

• Inventory control and care of supplies and equipment.
• Accurate cash handling and customer service in person and by phone.
• Assist pharmacist with daily activities, training staff and students.
• Billing, record keeping, monthly audits, and other duties as assigned by the pharmacist.
