Job summary

Essentia Health Baxter Clinic is seeking Pharmacy Technicians to support the ambulatory care team in processing prescriptions and assisting customers to ensure a positive experience. Responsibilities include inventory management, compounding, and operating automation systems under pharmacist supervision.

The role requires board-approved technician training or Minnesota registration, plus ongoing education and licensure renewal, with options ranging from Level I onboarding to Level III

Qualifications

• Must maintain registration(s) and certification(s) for the duration of employment.
• Must be at least 18 years old and have high school graduation or equivalent for registration.
• Ongoing continuing education and license renewal as required by the state's Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Process prescriptions and assist customers to ensure a positive experience.
• Handle inventory control and care of supplies and equipment; manage automation systems.
• Assist with non-sterile and sterile compounding and other duties as assigned by the pharmacist.

Education

Board-approved technician training program

Minnesota Board of Pharmacy registration

PTCB/NHA certification within 2 years

Essentia Health employer-based technician training program within 1 year

Pharmacy student in accredited Pharm.D. program
