Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Pharmacy Technician for the Ambulatory Pharmacy-Pharmacy at the Main Campus in Cleveland. This role supports a high-volume outpatient setting, processing prescriptions, maintaining inventory and assisting with non-sterile compounding according to USP guidelines.

The position offers full-time hours, a day/evening rotation, and a potential sign-on bonus up to $2,500. This is a collaborative team environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA.
• Must hold active OBOP registration as CPhT, Registered, or Trainee.
• Registration must be updated to CPhT with OBOP within 6 months of hire.
• Preferred: hospital pharmacy experience (6 months).
• Preferred: completion of formal pharmacy technician training program.
• Preferred: prior compounding experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide distributive pharmacy services and support for the pharmacist in ambulatory/outpatient setting.
• Prepare prescription orders for dispensing to patients.
• Maintain outpatient pharmacy inventory.
• Assist with extemporaneous and bulk compounding.
• Operate the point-of-sale cash register system.
• Monitor reorder points and restock prescription and non-prescription items.
• Provide multi-pharmacy support as needed.
