Job summary

University Health is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse Clinician for the Lakewood Orthopedic Clinic. This RN will work Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, at UH Lakewood.

The role focuses on providing comprehensive patient care, education, and care coordination in an ambulatory setting. The position requires a BSN (or equivalent), Missouri RN license, and BLS/BCLS certification, with at least two years of ambulatory care experience.

Qualifications

• BSN or equivalent nursing degree required.
• Current Missouri RN license.
• BLS/BCLS certification.
• Two years of related ambulatory care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct and indirect nursing care while promoting patient safety and quality.
• Assess patients, develop care plans, and coordinate care with families and the team.
• Monitor patient progress, evaluate outcomes, and adjust plans as needed.
• Educate patients, families, and staff to support health management.
• Perform comprehensive health assessments and apply clinical judgment for priorities.
• Maintain competency and apply specialty knowledge for the clinic.
• Contribute to quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
• Stay updated on professional standards and organizational policies.
