Qualifications

• Graduation from an NBSTSA-accredited surgical technologist program.
• BLS certification required at hire.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred or required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Scrub on all surgical procedures in the operating room.
• Assist physician and circulator as needed during procedures.
• Prepare and arrange instruments and supplies per procedure cards.
• Report during and after cases on counts, specimens, and aseptic technique.
• Provide on-call coverage where applicable.
• Participate in orientation and preceptorship programs.
