Job summary

NYU Langone Health is seeking an OR Scheduler for the Essex Crossing Ambulatory Surgery Center, Day Shift, 35 hours per week. You will join an interdisciplinary team, performing clerical duties under OR leadership and ensuring timely, accurate scheduling for procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma and healthcare secretarial experience, with strong communication and organizational skills. Proficiency with EPIC, Kronos and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate with three years secretarial experience in a healthcare setting.
• Strong verbal and written communication; medical terminology knowledge.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines; well organized.

Responsibilities

• Performs clerical and receptionist responsibilities under OR leadership.
• Schedules appointments and procedures; runs reports; takes minutes as requested.
• Uses EPIC, Kronos and Microsoft Office; maintains neat organized files.
• Interacts professionally with Administration, Physicians, Managers and staff.
• Supports orientation of new employees and onboarding duties.
• Maintains inventory and references departmental procedures.
