Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Medina Hospital is seeking an RN Ambulatory on Oncology to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The role supports the Hematology/Medical Oncology team across clinics and float coverage to Strongsville and Wooster, with an 8:00am–5:00pm schedule.

Applicants must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold RN licensure, and be BLS certified; ACLS within six months of hire is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• ACLS within six months of hire for areas with moderate sedation/cardiac testing.
• Cancer-specific certification or ongoing qualifying education if working in oncology within accreditation cycle.
• One year of recent RN or related clinical experience in ambulatory setting preferred for transfer within the same facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in an ambulatory setting.
• Assess health status, perform nursing assessments, and establish care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Initiate CPR and other emergency measures.
• Notify physician of abnormal findings and coordinate with LIP.
• Assist with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and equipment.
• Educate patients and families on health management and care plans.
• Travel within the region to support clinics and procedures as needed.
