Northwell Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to provide age-appropriate, evidence-based patient care on a designated unit. You will lead nursing activities, collaborate with physicians and health team members, and ensure safe, efficient care throughout the care cycle.

The role emphasizes clinical judgment, patient education, wound and medication administration, and coordination of referrals and follow-up resources.

Qualificações

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited BSN program within two (2) years and obtain a BSN Degree within five (5) years of job entry date.
• Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed.
• GYN experience preferred
• Oncology experience highly preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assesses the patient’s physiologic health status, conducts patient interview, reviews chart and documents plan of care.
• Assesses patient’s psychosocial health status, coping, knowledge level, and cultural requirements; documents care plan.
• Identifies patient outcomes, develops outcome statements and individualized goals.
• Formulates the plan of care and prioritizes actions to achieve outcomes; coordinates resources.
• Implements the plan of care, administers treatments, ensures safety, and documents responses.
• Evaluates care provided and contributes to performance improvement; documents outcomes.
• Collaborates with physicians and care team; delegates assignments and communicates changes.
• Provides wound care and pressure ulcer care; uses aseptic technique; performs related skin care procedures.
• Administers medications safely and educates patients on interactions and side effects.
• Participates in patient and family education and discharge planning; coordinates post-procedural care.
• Performs other duties as required; adheres to policy and safety standards.

Formação académica

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

RN license in New York State
