Job summary

Orlando Health Cancer Institute is seeking an experienced registered nurse to administer patient care in ambulatory settings across six treatment sites and multiple locations. The role focuses on compassionate, evidence-based care with advanced technologies and coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds an approved nursing degree, Florida RN licensure (or NLC), and BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain areas, with at least 1 year of experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current licensure as a registered nurse in the State of Florida or Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above approved.

Responsibilities

• Promotes wellness, restores health, and supports end-of-life care in ambulatory nursing.
• Assesses patient needs and develops an individualized care plan using evidence-based practice.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate care on the assigned unit.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care including assessment, education, meds, treatments, and safety.
• Delegates tasks to the healthcare team per patient needs.
