Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking an experienced registered nurse for ambulatory care within its cancer care services. The role involves promoting wellness, assessing patient needs, and coordinating care in a fast-paced ambulatory setting.

The successful candidate will have graduation from an approved nursing program, Florida RN licensure, and current BLS. ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required for certain units; a minimum of one year of experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Florida RN licensure or NLC.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC are required for certain areas.
• 1 year experience required unless AVP level or above.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes ambulatory care nursing knowledge to promote wellness and address health-related problems.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plan of care.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide age-appropriate patient care.
• Prescribes, delegates, coordinates, and documents patient care.
• Demonstrates competency in nursing skills and use of care unit equipment.
• Prioritizes patient care per Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
• Participates in process improvement and staff development.
