Job summary

Advocate Health’s ambulatory oncology clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a high-volume team focused on blood cancer and bone marrow transplant/cellular therapy. The RN will provide comprehensive patient care in an ambulatory setting, coordinating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective treatment and a positive patient experience.

The position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program, an active RN license in the practicing state, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical RN experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures using evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and communication skills while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
• Schedule: Clinic hours are 8a-5p, Monday-Friday. No weekend or holiday requirement. Schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, subject to change with clinic needs (approximately 36 hours weekly).
