Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking an Ambulatory Nurse for the Primary Care Cornerstone location. This part-time role (24 hours) reports to the Clinic Supervisor and includes patient education, treatment administration, and assisting with procedures using aseptic technique.

Responsibilities include staff education, coordination with the health care team, and advocating for individualized patient care. Ohio RN license required with BSN pathway within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
• Commitment to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
• Current RN license in Ohio.

Facility: Dayton Children's - South Campus Department: Community Based Primary Care - Cornerstone Schedule: Part time Hours: 24 Job Details: The Ambulatory Nurse is a nursing staff position, which reports to the Clinic Supervisor. Performs treatments, administers medications, assists procedures performed without anesthesia while utilizing aseptic technique, assists with employee education and orientation and provides patient/family education with the goal of improving health outcomes. Involves family/significant others in planning health care and health decisions. Delegates and evaluates health care to assistive personnel following the hospital plan for nursing. Recognizes and advocates for each patient being individual with health care needs. Provides considerate, respectful care affirming the patient’s right to make decisions regarding their medical care.

Department Specific Job Details: Location: Primary Care Cornerstone Hours: M-F day shift 8 hour shift ( days will vary ) Commitment to obtain Bachelors of Science in Nursing within 5 years of hire. Graduation from an accredited program of nursing. Registered Nursing license in State of Ohio.
