Job summary

Northwell Health in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver age-specific nursing care across a designated patient population. Using the nursing process, you will assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate care while coordinating with physicians and the health team.

You will lead with clinical judgment, provide wound and medication management, train families, plan discharge, and collaborate on treatments.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred.
• Current NY State RN license; certification as needed.
• 1-2 years RN experience; neurology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess physiologic health status and document care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team to coordinate procedures.
• Provide wound care and care for pressure ulcers.
• Administer medications safely and educate patients about drugs.
• Lead patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Monitor patient condition and adjust care as needed.
