Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or ARMRIT or JRCERT military education accepted in lieu of other requirements.
• ARRT(RT) or ARMRIT certification required within 12 months of hire for MRI Technologist I/II/III.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) by AHA required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician-ordered exams.
• Safely administers contrast per protocol and monitors patient safety.
• Transfers images and data to EMR/PACS and completes basic documentation.
• Performs operator-level quality control, cleaning and maintenance per manufacturer instructions.

Care is delivered under appropriate supervision across a variety of settings.* Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with physician‐ordered exams to support appropriate imaging.* Safely administers contrast per protocol* Demonstrates the ability to recognize basic imaging artifacts and implement corrective measures independently or under guidance.* Effectively communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and the care team to support desired clinical outcomes and service standards.* Accurately transfers images and associated data to designated systems, completes basic technical documentation, and prepares studies for physician reporting.* Carries out operator‐level quality control checks, cleaning, high‐level disinfection, and basic equipment maintenance per manufacturer instructions and regulatory requirements.* Accurately document in EMR/PACS* Actively participates in continuing education, professional development, and research initiatives to maintain competencies and advance quality of care and treatment practices.* Supports inventory tasks as needed to help ensure supplies are available.*If trained and verified in Cardiac MRI, the following responsibilities apply:** Acquire standard cardiac imaging sequences including: LV function imaging, Short-axis cine stacks, basic morphology and functional assessments* Apply ECG gating techniques including: retrospective gating, prospective gating, real-time imaging as indicated* Troubleshoot basic ECG signal issues* Recognize common rhythm patterns**General Responsibilities:*** Performs other duties as assigned.**MRI Technologist I** **Minimum Qualifications:****Education:** Graduate of an accredited imaging, radiology or nuclear medicine program as defined by ARRT or ARMRIT or Completion of JRCERT accredited Military Educational Program is accepted in lieu of other educational requirements.**Experience:** No prior MRI experience required.**License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required. ARRT(RT)(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.**MRI Technologist III****Minimum Qualifications:****Education:** Associate's Degree required.**Experience:** At least 3 years of MRI experience required.**License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required:** Current Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) required. ARRT(RT)(MR) or ARMRIT certification is required.**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Foundational knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology, basic radiologic technology concepts, and MRI‐related terminology.
