MedStar Health in Baltimore is seeking a Medical Assistant to perform clinical and administrative duties in an ambulatory care setting under supervision. You will assist physicians with exams, venipuncture, vaccines, vital signs, and patient education, and may float to other sites within the system.

The role emphasizes teamwork, accuracy in EMR documentation, adherence to safety standards, and patient-centered care across multiple departments, with a schedule Monday through Friday, 8am to 4:30pm.

Competenze

Clinical competency verified within orientation and annually.
Excellent customer service and patient interaction skills.
Basic computer skills and EMR basic use.

Mansioni

Assist providers with exams, venipuncture, vaccines, vital signs, and patient education.
Support patient flow and provide clerical support as needed.
Participate in daily team huddles and assist with transitions of care.
Conduct motivational interviews and identify care barriers.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and accreditation standards.
Perform point-of-care testing and specimen collection when required.
Document activities in the EMR and complete follow-ups.
Floats to other sites within the system as needed.
