Job summary

Martha's Vineyard Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily patient care at the West Tisbury Clinic. You will perform clinical and administrative tasks to ensure safe, efficient patient flow under supervision.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED, MA certification training preferred, and be able to read, write, speak English clearly. BLS is required at hire or within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to read, write legibly, speak clearly and understand the English language.
• Preferred successful completion of Medical Assistant School/Program or comparable training within related discipline.
• Medical Assistant experience in an ambulatory setting preferred.
• LICENSURE: BLS required at time of hire, or within 90 days of start date.
• Within 1 year of employment: Enrollment in program to enhance MA skills: RMA, CMA, CCMA.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the delivery of patient care in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
• Maintain highest quality care and safety for patients.
• Support onsite clinic operations and patient flow.
