Job summary

UK King’s Daughters is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to deliver direct patient care within a multidisciplinary ambulatory team in Portsmouth, Ohio. The role includes starting IVs, wound care, medications, and documenting care in patient records while ensuring safety and satisfaction.

The position requires a High School diploma or equivalent and an active LPN license with BLS and CPI certifications; 0–2 years of healthcare experience preferred. Shift: Days, KDIP FAC Portsmouth Urology.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training in a relevant area may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for visits by obtaining vitals and histories.
• Gathers health data, performs phlebotomy and in-clinic lab testing as required.
• Provides and documents basic patient care and prescribed interventions.
• Administers medications safely and monitors responses.
• Assists with examinations and transcribes physician orders accurately.
• Performs patient triage, schedules appointments and coordinates referrals.
