Job summary

Atrium Health Rehabilitation may seek a Medical Assistant to perform rooming tasks, vital signs, medical history review, and health screenings, following clinic protocols.

Qualifications

• Performs routine MA tasks within the scope of practice as directed by clinicians.
• Follows policies and procedures; maintains training and competency.
• Handles patient history, vitals, medication reconciliation, and health maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assists providers with procedures as ordered.
• Performs venipuncture, specimen handling, and POCT under standing orders.
• Administers medications and vaccines per the rights of administration.
• Manages referrals, scheduling, insurance authorizations, and patient communication.
• Maintains clean work environment and stocked supplies.
• May train or onboard teammates; participates in committees as needed.
