Job summary

NorthBay Health is seeking a Medical Assistant I / Patient Services Representative to deliver front- and back-office support in our ambulatory practices in Vacaville, CA. The ideal candidate has MA training, current CPR/BLS certification, and strong customer service and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Two years of customer engagement experience and/or a service-centered role.
• Previous experience with medication administration required.
• Experience with medical records, appointment scheduling, referrals/authorizations, registration, and back-office clinical support; ambulatory experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities within timeframes.
• Knowledge of Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, Indemnity, and Workers' Compensation insurance types.
• Impact of registration accuracy on claims processing and patient care.
• Familiarity with NorthBay Health clinical computer systems.
• Demonstrated service excellence and cultural competency.
