Job summary

You will support clinicians and help manage exams in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. Responsibilities include clerical duties, scheduling, pre-certifications, and data entry, with a focus on accuracy, patient service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate or GED.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program OR at least 3 years of MA/clinic experience.

Responsibilities

• Accurately schedules tests and prepares specimens according to policy.
• Assists physicians and nurses with procedures as defined on competency checklist.
• Collaborates with health team to coordinate patient care and records history elements.
• Submits prescriptions/refills to outpatient pharmacies electronically or by fax.
• Ensures data from completed procedures is recorded in medical records.
• Maintains clean exam rooms and stocks supplies; performs required equipment checks.
• Greet patients, register, schedule, pre-certify tests, process insurance forms, and file charges.
• Performs simple procedures and documents vital signs and screening results.

Education

High School Graduate or GED

Graduate of accredited Medical Assistant Program

3+ years of MA/clinic experience
