Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the delivery of high-quality care across ambulatory settings in Burlington, MA. Under supervision of licensed providers, the MA performs direct patient care, assists with clinical operations, and coordinates care to ensure a smooth daily workflow.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, completes an accredited MA training program, and may hold a BLS certificate.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in fast-paced ambulatory environment preferred.
• Ability to work with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients; take and document vital signs.
• Support clinical procedures (EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and document in EMR.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in, referrals, and patient instructions.
• Communicate effectively with providers and patients about delays or follow-ups.
