Job summary

Intermountain Health in St George, Utah, is seeking a Medical Assistant for a full-time, 40-hour week (4x10s) in the St George Heart Rhythm Clinic. You will support clinicians, gather visit information, and help deliver high-quality patient care in an ambulatory setting.

The role requires completion of a MA program or relevant experience, CPR/BLS, basic computer skills, and strong communication. Preference for outpatient clinic experience and EMR proficiency.

Qualifications

• Proof of completion of a Medical Assistant program OR at least one year MA work experience OR current active and in good standing RN/LPN license to practice nursing in Utah.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) for healthcare providers. Must be obtained prior to start date.
• Demonstrated basic computer skills involving word processing and data entry.
• Professional manner and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with patients and fellow caregivers to deliver the highest level of customer/patient satisfaction.
• Utah Only: If certified with less than one year of MA experience, caregivers may attend a yearlong MA residency program.

• Provide patient care under the direction of the clinician, gathering information relevant to the visit and condition.
• Communicate clearly with patients seeking care through telephone and in-person interactions.
