Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to deliver high-level patient-centered care in a physician office setting. You will measure vital signs, place patients in exam rooms, prepare them for exams, and assist the health care provider during procedures.

You will administer medications, answer patient questions, document health information, coordinate phone triage per practice protocols, maintain supply inventory, and may float to other UFHP practices as needed.

Qualifications

• Licensed LPN eligible to practice in Florida.
• One year of ambulatory care or hospital experience preferred.
• Must show initiative and ability to multitask.
• Outstanding patient/customer service skills, verbal clarity, team focus, and problem-solving abilities required.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and place patients in exam rooms.
• Assist health care provider with exams and procedures.
• Administer medications and provide patient education.
• Process patient phone calls per practice protocols.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and stock exam rooms.
• May float to other UFHP practices as needed.
