Job summary

UF Health in Gainesville, FL is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide high-level patient-centered care in a physician office setting, including measuring vital signs, preparing patients for exams, and assisting providers.

You will administer medications, handle patient calls per practice protocols, maintain supply inventory, stock exam rooms, and may float to other UFHP practices as needed; Florida LPN license and BLS required, plus successful medication test within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Current Licensed LPN eligible to practice in Florida.
• Florida is part of the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC).
• AHA or Red Cross CPR required or obtained within 90 days.
• Must maintain CPR certification and pass medication test within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs and prepare patients for exams/procedures.
• Assist health care provider with exams/procedures and patient care during exams.
• Administer medications and respond to patient calls per practice protocols.
• Provide health care information to patients and support to providers.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and stock exam rooms.
• May float to other UFHP practices as needed for staffing.
