Job summary

UMMC is seeking a dedicated LPN-Ambulatory at Jackson Medical Mall to provide direct patient care under supervision, administering treatments per the care plan and maintaining detailed records. Role includes IV therapy expansion where permitted, patient and family education, and collaboration with the care team.

Day shift, full-time, hourly pay, grant-funded eligibility noted. This position requires current LPN licensure, BLS within 90 days, and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Valid LPN license is required.
• LPN license with IV therapy expanded role may be required for some clinical areas.
• BLS required within 90 days post-hire.

Responsibilities

• Assists with patient care by executing and administering treatments and procedures directed by supervisor.
• Reports patient issues to supervisor and staff.
• Maintains accurate patient records (e.g. charts, schedules, procedures, medication history).
• Educates patients and family in accordance with the plan of care.
• Functions in expanded IV therapy role where permitted.
• Participates in committees or projects to improve patient care.
