Job summary

Sanford Health in the United States is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to participate in patient care under supervision of a registered nurse, APN, or physician.

You will ensure patient health, comfort and safety; document medical histories; assess patients and administer medications or treatments as ordered; provide support to healthcare teams; and counsel patients and families on prevention and treatment plans. North Dakota licensure required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited practical nursing program and obtain an LPN license.
• If IV therapy/management is required in North Dakota, graduation from a Board approved AASPN program where IV therapy is part of the curriculum or completion of an IV Therapy course approved by the North Dakota Board of Nursing.
• Currently holds an unencumbered Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license with State Nursing board and/or possess multi-state licensure privileges.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Ensures the health, comfort and safety of patients.
• Documents a thorough medical history from patient.
• Assesses patients and administers medications or treatments as ordered.
• Provides technical support to healthcare professionals as needed.
