Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an inventory and supply chain professional to manage ambulatory inventory, procurement, and receiving.

You will participate in product analysis, usage reviews, and collaborate with clinical staff to ensure timely and ethical availability of supplies for patients and staff. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to work independently and professionally within the organization.
• Analytical skills necessary to develop and execute a variety of operational analyses.
• Ability to communicate both oral and written complex technical issues clearly to all levels of the Medical Center.
• Problem solving skills necessary to manage day to day challenges and develop long term improvements.

Responsibilities

• Receives and stores medical and non-medical supplies/equipment throughout the Ambulatory Facilities.
• Performs stock counts to ensure product availability.
• Ensures all inventory locations are clean, labeled, and organized.
• Visual inspection of packing to detect damage upon receipt.
• Checks for expired products across inventory locations.
• Receives product and places it in the correct unit of measure.
• Reports receiving discrepancies to purchasing for resolution.
• Collaborates with clinical staff and purchasing to mitigate back orders and substitutions.
