Job summary

UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Infusion Clinic in Dallas. The role supports infusion therapies for complex diagnoses with 4x10 hour shifts, no weekends or holidays, and is supervised by physicians, APPs, and nursing leadership.

Responsibilities include delivering nursing care, administering infusion therapies, maintaining EMR documentation, and educating patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved/accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure by the Texas Board of Nurse Examiners upon hire.
• BLS certification issued by AHA/ARC upon hire; must obtain ONCC/ONS Chemotherapy Certification within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing interventions per medical plan of care and physician orders.
• Administer biotherapy and chemotherapy in the infusion clinic; manage vascular access devices.
• Document patient assessments, interventions, responses, and medication administration in EMR.
• Provide patient education and reinforce physician instructions during visits and follow-up calls.
• Triages patient inquiries per departmental protocols and documents in EMR.
• Precept new staff and support clinic operations to ensure seamless patient care.
• Maintain proficiency in EMR documentation and participate in team meetings.
