Job summary
Carson Tahoe Health in Carson City, NV seeks an Ambulatory Infusion Center Medical Assistant for per diem day shift. You will provide clerical support and patient care under the nurse manager and professional nurse, supporting the Ambulatory Infusion Center and Cancer Resource Center.
Required are a high school diploma, NV Laboratory Assistant license or eligibility, and AHA BLS for healthcare providers; preferred phlebotomy training and prior MA experience.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada DHHS at time of hire or able to apply within 6 months of hire.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support for healthcare providers required.
Responsibilities
- Provide clerical support and patient care in the Ambulatory Infusion Center and Cancer Resource Center under supervision.

Summary
Under the direction of the nurse manager and supervision of the professional nurse, provides supportive care to the Ambulatory Infusion Center and Cancer Resource Center by performing a variety of clerical and patient care duties.
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services at time of hire or position entry; or qualify to apply for license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within six (6) months of hire or position entry.

- Current license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services at time of hire or position entry; or qualify to apply for license as a Laboratory Assistant through the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services within six (6) months of hire or position entry.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) for healthcare providers
- Documentation of successful completion of a course or training in phlebotomy.
- Previous experience with specimen processing.
- One (1) year's previous experience as a medical assistant.
- Experience in healthcare may be substituted.
