Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking an experienced APRN or PA-C for an ambulatory HemOnc, PRN role based at the Moffitt Ocala or Moffitt Speros campus. You will join a specialized team delivering outpatient cancer care and support infusion center patients within MMG.

The ideal candidate is a clinical professional with a passion for our mission, strong communication, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach. Certification, Florida licensure, and ACLS/BLS are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum; master's preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited Advanced Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant program.
• Active FL medical license (or the ability to obtain one) and certification by the appropriate accreditation body.
• Active BLS & active ACLS (must be AHA approved).
• Experience in oncology or general internal medicine; specific experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care as a member of an interdisciplinary team, coordinating with multiple specialists.
• Correlates subjective and objective data to formulate a differential or working diagnosis.
• Formulates treatment plans for medical conditions within scope of practice.
• May perform minor surgical procedures within scope of practice.
• Prescribes oral and IV medications when appropriate, within scope of practice.
• Documents patient care in accordance with medical staff rules and manages acute issues related to chemotherapeutic infusions.
