Responsibilities

• Utilize the City of Hope nursing process in clinical practice.
• Independent medical management of a defined patient population with physician supervision.
• Perform physical examinations applying medical model and nursing process.
• Develop and follow protocols for Nurse Practitioners in the department.
• Assist in developing methods and systems for medical care and department operations.
• Maintain open communication with physician and health team regarding patient information.
• Provide patient education and counseling.
• Participate in performance improvement activities and professional development.
