Qualifications

• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• Licensed Registered Nurse in Illinois (RN).
• Associate’s Degree required.

Responsibilities

• Provides and facilitates competent health care for patients and families.
• Ensures adherence to standards of care and scope of practice.
• Documents care completely and accurately.
• Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
• Acts as preceptor and supports staff and students.
• Leads quality improvement initiatives for outcomes.
• Assists in developing departmental policies and procedures.
• Provides procedural, treatment plan and teaching for nursing care.
• Performs tests such as Fibroscan, breath tests and video capsule endoscopy.
• Administers vaccines and other injections.
• Provides telephone triage and follow up.
• Completes prior authorization processes.
