Job summary

The role requires AHIMA RHIT/CCS or AAPC CPC/CPC-H certification within 6 months, two years of college with medical terminology training, and proficiency with multiple EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology.
• Knowledge of coding, billing, and revenue cycle.
• Experience with multiple electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Abstract and code clinical data using ICD-10-CM.
• Enter outpatient charges based on documentation.
• Collaborate with Revenue Integrity and CDI to resolve denials.
• Retrieve records as needed to ensure correct coding.
