Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our ambulatory clinic team. The CMA will support patient care under physician supervision, maintain patient flow, and ensure safe clinical environments.

Responsibilities include vital signs, patient education, phlebotomy, immunizations, and assisting with exams. The ideal candidate will hold a High School Diploma or GED, current BLS certification, and CMA certification from a recognized agency (AAMA, NCCT, or NHA).

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification from an approved nationalGENCY is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record vital signs, patient history and chief complaint.
• Monitor aseptic technique and infection control during clinical duties.
• Under supervision, perform delegated procedures safely and efficiently.
• Provide patient education and health information as directed.
• Assist provider with exams and minor office surgery.
• Perform phlebotomy, immunizations, and basic lab tasks.
• Maintain supplies and clinic environment for patient safety.
• Document accurately and maintain chart history for visits.
