Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Participates in drug therapy management and documents care in medical records.
• Prepares medications by reviewing physician orders and detecting incompatibilities.
• Dispenses medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling.
• Contacts and confers with physicians to optimize therapy.
• Assists patients in gaining access to medications and resolves payer issues.
• Interprets clinical decision support and drug utilization reviews for therapy.
• Provides immunizations where allowed and appropriate.
• Provides accurate computer order entry and maintains records for 340b medications.
• Supervises technicians as needed and ensures compliance with laws.
