Job summary

Howard University’s Talent Acquisition team seeks a Clinical Operations Nurse Coordinator to drive standardized ambulatory workflows and support safe, patient-centered operations across the Faculty Practice Plan.

You'll lead quality, safety, and regulatory readiness efforts, collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff, and advance value-based care and competency programs. A RN license in DC and BLS are required, with ACLS preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of progressive nursing/healthcare experience, preferably in ambulatory or multispecialty operations
• Academic Health System experience preferred
• Current Registered Nurse License (DC) or ability to obtain within 90 days
• Current BLS required; ACLS strongly preferred
• At least one specialty certification is preferred

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of Clinical Operations to implement standardized clinical workflows across Faculty Practice locations.
• Evaluate clinical processes to improve efficiency, safety, quality and patient experience.
• Support implementation and monitoring of clinical policies, procedures, protocols and standard work.
• Provide clinical consultation to Practice leadership and teams.
• Lead follow-through on identified clinical operational gaps.
• Conduct routine rounds for infection prevention and other standards.
• Coordinate with Quality, Risk, and departments on ambulatory initiatives.
