Job summary

MedStar Health seeks a Clinical Informatics Specialist to act as the clinical expert educator, consultant leader, and researcher for information systems. You will plan, develop, implement, maintain, evaluate, and train information systems to enhance patient care and clinical workflows, while promoting evidence-based practice.

You will lead initiatives, collaborate with clinical teams and IS, and drive safe, high-quality outcomes through innovation and education.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree required.
Master's degree in Informatics or Information Management preferred.
One year of relevant education may be substituted for one year of required work experience.
Epic experience strongly preferred.
Licenses or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

Evaluate, optimize, and implement clinical information systems to enhance patient care and workflows.
Lead and manage information system initiatives; support technology adoption and collaborate with clinical teams.
Develop and deliver training programs to strengthen staff technology proficiency and best practices.
Analyze clinical data and system performance to identify improvement opportunities and drive patient outcomes.
Partner with interdisciplinary teams to integrate research and evidence-based practice into technology solutions.
